The role of Salesforce & Automation Lead brings a level of associated expertise into Silvergate, limiting the reliance on vendor relationships. The Salesforce & Automation Lead will partner with teams across Silvergate to help match automation solutions to undesirable manual process patterns. This position will manage and lead vendor resources during deployments, as well as design and lead a process to identify automation tooling gaps at Silvergate with a view to creating a best-in-class suite of available solutions. Automation governance and best practices will need to be created and embedded.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Silvergate staff with understanding the “art of the possible” with Salesforce and automation tooling more broadly
Primary face-off to existing vendors providing Salesforce deployment support, and future vendors as required
Lead identification of automation tooling requirements, solution assessments, and procurement recommendations
A key partner with BACoE (Business Analysis Center of Excellence) to identify automation opportunities
Support both strategic and semi-strategic solution design, ensuring the distinction is known and acknowledged
Create Salesforce solutions for problems identified, and recommend when vendor support is required to support
Train and coach staff who show an interest in Salesforce and automation tooling
Ensure compliance with data security and auditing requirements of applications
Maintain current knowledge of all federal and state laws and regulations, along with the Bank’s policies and procedures

Qualifications:
4+ years of Salesforce experience in an analyst or administrator role
Automation solutions preferred, such as (but not limited to) RPA, AI, OCR
Designing and delivering Salesforce solutions, ideally in financial service institutions
Experience working as, or with, a Business Analyst
Managing vendor relationships, and/or partnering with vendors for solution deployment
Expert skills in MS office (excel, word, PowerPoint)
Effective written and verbal communication
Fintech experience is a plus
BANK SECRECY ACT REQUIREMENTS:
Responsible for adhering to the reporting and recordkeeping requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering rules and regulations, observing economic sanctions by prohibiting transactions as specified by the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), following the Company’s customer identification program (CIP) rules, observing all Company policies and procedures relating to BSA, OFAC, CIP, and related acts, and participation in ongoing related training.
